Tehran is prepared to restart atomic talks with the United States as long as it is handled with "respect" and "honor", Tehran's foreign minister has announced.

The Iranian diplomat said solely negotiations was effective, and revealed new appeals had come from go-betweens to reopen discussions with the Trump administration. He claimed Iran possessed no secret atomic facilities, and Iran could not yet allow the global atomic watchdog to access bombed nuclear sites for security reasons.

Navigating a Complex Path

Araghchi is treading a complex path since Iran aims to avoid be perceived to be operating from a position of disadvantage, and he consistently maintained that Iran had emerged more resilient defensively and psychologically from the coordinated strike on its enrichment centers in June.

He was talking at a defense forum in Tehran where he reaffirmed that Iran had "an inalienable right to refine atomic fuel on home soil that it will always maintain" – the key factor of the impasse in the earlier negotiations.

Prior Discussions Unexpectedly Ended

The earlier sessions of discussions between the US and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and acrimonious conclusion on 12 June when Israel, with US support, attacked Iran's enrichment centers in a fortnight-long engagement that concluded with the American leader claiming the facilities had been destroyed. Afterward, Western states exercised their right to reimpose UN-wide sanctions, but Iran asserts they have not had a significant effect.

Perfect Agreement Offered

Iranian officials claimed they felt they had attained a "magic solution" to the nuclear fuel concern in prior discussions, when it was decided an Iran-based consortium with American involvement could enrich uranium. The two nations would have been able to assert triumph since local refinement would have continued and the US could be certain that Iran's enrichment initiative was entirely non-military.

It had not been settled in the talks that US nuclear scientists could operate within Iranian territory, but that was a logical implication of the consortium proposal. Diplomats claimed repeatedly they had secured an understanding with the US representative Steve Witkoff only for the arrangement to disintegrate due to "opponents in the US".

Current Situation

Iranian officials declared the consortium offer was now withdrawn, but it seems highly likely the proposal could be reintroduced in some form if talks restart.

Trump last week stated he had been getting signals that Iran wanted to restart talks, but in private Iran's diplomats claim they are not yet obtaining clear proposals from America either explicitly or from key regional mediators, such as Qatar, the Egyptian leadership, the Omani authorities and Saudi Arabia. The Iran's state department has been criticized of inactivity in the face of Trump's direct instinctive approach, but Iran asserts diplomacy is not part of a performance.

Diplomatic Position

In his remarks to the forum, intended to portray the US as a hegemonic power that misuses the idea of global regulations, the foreign minister declared the 12-day war revealed the clash could not be ended by military means. He stated the assaults started with a American requirement for an total Iran submission and culminated with an unconditional call for a halt to hostilities.

Iran is convinced the opening assaults from Tel Aviv were executed with complete American awareness and coordination, making confidence difficult to reestablish.

Negotiations Stays the Final Answer

Araghchi said: "Tehran was not the one that had deserted negotiations; it was America and the western countries that had always attempted to impose their desires during the talks. Negotiations can still be viable and stays the final resolution to settle conflicts, but its standards, guidelines and principles must be adhered to."

"Provided that they speak to the citizens of Tehran with the language of dignity and honor, they will receive a response in the same language."

Repair and Recovery

In what is portrayed by Tehran representatives as the conflict of restoration and reconstruction, the foreign minister said he was assured Iran's security strengths "have significantly improved than preceding 13 or 14 June of this year. All our capabilities have been rebuilt. We gained numerous insights from this engagement; we have come to know our personal limitations and the shortcomings of the enemy."

He continued: "We managed to survive this engagement. Our nuclear technology, which they planned to obliterate, stays intact. The facilities and equipment, if destroyed, will be rebuilt; what is important is the will of the citizens of Tehran and then the unity of the country that they aimed at, but did not succeed to destroy. The Iranian people have grown stronger, more integrated, and more endorsing of the leadership and the nation in the wake of this invasion."
